“Orphans no more” is the blog of Clayton Wood, Director of Mobilization for World Orphans. The blog is not named for an end on this earth of the problem of orphaning. If we placed every child on earth in a family tonight, there would still be new orphans tomorrow. We live in a fallen world where disease, war and calamity will continually leave new orphans and many more children will be orphaned by biological parents who shirk their God-given responsibilities.
Yet, in the darkness there is a light that shines bright, because God sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, who came to Earth as a baby, and lived a perfect life. His death and resurrection opened the way for us to be adopted into His family forever. Jesus is the older brother and intercessor (Romans 8) for all of those adopted into God’s family. Through Christ we who were spiritual orphans are adopted. I have brothers and sisters throughout the world and from many different backgrounds. Through the ministry of World Orphans it is my privilege to equip my family around the world to obey God’s call to care for the physical orphan.
